Legacy

Dear Future Graduate's of Stephenson High School,

As my journey here ends I want to leave you with some encourging words.
As you walk the hallways of Stephenson as a Junior, Sophmore, or Freshman.
You may not realise it but these halls are your first step to the real world.
As tough as it maybe to understand it is molding you for the years to come.

If you are a Freshman please please please take your 9th grade year seriously.
If I could do High School all over that would be the 1st year I would like to repeat.
It was difficult coming from to C's to the current 3.4 core gpa that I have.
Please don't set yourself up to have to bring yourself back up.

Sophmore's, This year is where the cream of the crop is picked from the group. You've gone from major babying to tough situatuions. The work load has changed and this would also be your 2nd year so you will be a little comfortable about High School. But make sure you get the best grades possible here because it will help you in the long run.

Junior's...The Prince and Princess of the school. This year is really the year that you really don't have to worry about. Yes you still have classes but the Graduation Test is about all you need to worry about. Other than that you should be preparing for your Senior year and year's after. Please take the SAT and ACT. If you start early and you do it a few times. You may soon master it. Practice makes perfect.

For all my fellow Senior's, WE DID IT. But that's just the strat of all of our endeavors. I hope everyone will take college seriously or whatever there forte' is. Because we are the future.

See ya May 22nd

At It Again!!

I went to Federick Douglass Prom last saturday. I couldn't wear the dress I wanted.

I don't know what's wrong with this dress but no school seems to approve it.
Luckily my date vest was one of the colors in the dress i wore to my prom.

So I decided to wear it.

On the left is my 2nd time in the dress. On the right is my 1st.

Which time won?

Same for the picture with my date. First time on the right and second on the left.

Which time was better?

ell, I have many other proms to go too. Hopefully May 9th SWD let's me wear my other dress.

Stay Tuned and we will see.

Prom

....The yearly formal event has come again.

Why do people look for such an event? IDK?

My prom experience was starting off awlful.

My name wasn't on the list period on thursday.

I didn't get any party favors,I had to wait til the actual prom to get them.

I was getting a stress pimple.

Saturday I went to my mama hair stylist and she was so slow.

I hated her. No tip. LOL!! My hair was pretty though.

Because the hair lady was slow I had to rush from downtown to Stonecrest to make my Make-up appt on time. Which I did by a slight 5 mins. But when I got there someone was at the lady that does my make-up. So I wait...wait & wait. Then another lady came.

She started my make-up but people kept coming to the stand so she hand to work them in.
I sa Tyreek while I was waiting for her to ring up a customer then Jasmine Embry and Teresa Nelson. I got home and my family didn't clean up at all. And everyone was coming to my house at 4:00 p.m. My mom got home and cooked little finger foods to snack on.

4:00 p.mm came and I waited waited and waited and no one showed up.

I called and they all said they weren't going to make it.

My boyfriend was in traffic on 20. I was so heart broken because I took all week making the schedule. I know it wasn't going to go to the tee but they was way off.

Well Courtney called and said she would be on the way and my Boyfriend had just pulled up.that

So i was happy when I saw that 09 Crystler 300.

We went in and we waited and waited so we snacked on the finger foods.

My bestfriend came threw to see me off to prom.

After he left Willie and I decided to go outside and take pics and wait on them.

Then I saw a mass amount of cars turn on my street. I was so happy it was them.

We was late for our reservation at Papa Duex though but they said we could get there in 20 mins and they would save our seats.

That didn't happen because the parents wanted to take pitures of us.

Finally on the way!!

We didn't make it to Papa Duex so we went to Red Lobster.

I had a great time with my true friends, Willie, Carlton, Crystal, Christina,Courtney,Brandon,Aaron,Ashley, & Kayln.
Well I could you will have to wait for Prom Part 2. To hear the rest.

Passion is Born Deaf & Dumb...

---Any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate.
---Strong amorous feeling or desire; love; ardor.
---An instance or experience of strong love or sexual desire.
---A strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything.
When do you know that you have a passion for something?
How can passion be love and hate?
Are they one in the same?
Does the smartest have the passion to learn?
Does the dumb have the passion to be lazy?
What determine's our passion?
Is your passion your destiny?
I love is blind...What is hate?
Can one even answer any of these question's?
Is it your passion?
Passion Is Born Deaf & Dumb

Bad Bad Bad Teacher

Tigia M. Finn
Posted by: Webmaster in FE-MV, Georgia, High Schools, Louisiana
(01/23/09 - Initial BadBadTeacher.com Report)

Tigia M. Finn, 34, of recent a math teacher at Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia is reportedly being sought by Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana sheriff’s deputies on a 4 1/2-year-old warrant on allegations of her having a longstanding sexual relationship with a then-high-school student.

In a deposition filed in May 2008 in civil litigation over the relationship, Ronnie T. Wesby who is now 25 alleges that he had a romance with Finn for several years that included sexual liaisons in her classroom in spring 1999 and later at her apartment. Wesby’s law suit filed in February 2005, which Wesby’s attorney offered recently to settle, names Finn and the Tangipahoa Parish School Board as defendants.

The September 14, 2004 arrest warrant for felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, although still active, has never been executed for more than four years according to a Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s spokeswoman who indicated that the warrant had never been entered into the National Crime Information Center system which would have made its existence known nationwide.

Reportedly on Thursday morning, before school officials became aware of the Louisiana allegations against Finn, she resigned from the DeKalb County school where she has worked for the past year and a half.

Since the arrest warrant was never entered into the National Crime Information Center system school officials in Georgia were not aware of her status in Louisiana at the time she was hired.

01/27/09 - Finn Turns Herself In

On Monday, Tigia M. Finn surrendered to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s deputies and was booked into the parish jail in on a count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Finn was subsequently released on $2,500 bond.

Reportedly a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office confirmed that Schirra Finn Sr., Tigia Finn’s brother, is a deputy whose time with the Sheriff’s Office goes back to at least July 2004, when Sheriff Daniel Edwards first took office.
